PayMeDoge is a small service based in Portugal. We help you use a memorable name, such as alice@paymedoge.com, so people can pay you in Dogecoin. We do not hold your coins. Payments go to the wallet address you give us.
What you get
When you pay, we publish a payment name in DNS, give you a pay page, and, if your plan includes it, forward mail to an inbox you already use. The Dogecoin address is stored encrypted. Your email is the key. Wallets must check DNSSEC before they trust that record.
Your account
You prove you own a name by signing a short message with the Dogecoin wallet linked to it. That is how you edit the name, change invoice details, or close the account. A payment does not prove ownership. Anyone can send Dogecoin to keep the name live. Only the keys of the wallet you registered can change the record.
Renewal
The name is prepaid for the period of your plan, month or year, as set when you pay. A reminder goes out 7 days before the renewal date, to the invoice email you registered. Extra Dogecoin on that payment extends the renewal date, and we email a new invoice with the new date. Payment can come from any wallet. After the paid period ends you have 7 days to pay. If you do not, we pause the name: DNS and mail forwarding stop. After 30 days we remove the name. It cannot be recovered. The @paymedoge.com name becomes free for anyone else.
Closing the name
You can ask us to remove the name. We take it out of DNS, stop mail forwarding, and drop the pay page. Invoice records stay. Portuguese accounting rules ask us to keep them. Closing the name does not delete those records.
Invoices
We email a receipt after each payment. A billing name, address, and VAT number are optional. If you are a business and want a proper VAT invoice, those fields are required. Invoice data is kept even if you later close the name.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not hold your Dogecoin. We only forward mail if you paid for a plan that includes forwarding. Anyone with your active name can ask a wallet to resolve the Dogecoin address from public DNS. That is the point of the product.
Fair use
Do not use PayMeDoge for fraud, spam, or anything illegal in Portugal or the EU. We can pause or remove a name that is abused.
Law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. EU consumer rights still apply if you are a consumer in the EU.
